Susan Powers testimonial
Linda Middlesworth is known to me through California Family Fitness. I have taken her step aerobics, Pilates and body sculpting classes regularly for many months and enjoy them immensely. She takes great pride in teaching us members how to get the most out of each session by making sure that we maximize our workouts with safety. She introduces herself at the beginning of the class and pays extra attention to anyone new. She has many dedicated followers of her classes and, now, that includes me.
Moreover, Linda is very knowledgeable about nutrition and has also guided me in my pursuit of a vegan diet. She has taken her time to show me, as well as others, what types of foods to buy, how to prepare them, and what foods to avoid. She has met us at Whole Foods and shopped with us there. Linda has recommended books, movies, lectures as well as recipes and other tips.
Through Linda, I learned of the Sacramento Vegan Society and am now a member attending the monthly meetings and various events. I do know that Linda works incredibly hard, not only as a fitness instructor but as the Organizer of the Sacramento Vegan Society. She works hard because of her love of animals and also because wants people to reach their personal best.
Through Linda’s guidance and encouragement I have lost a great deal of weight. I am healthier and my fitness level is better than it has ever been in my life. I can truly say that knowing Linda has been a beneficial and uplifting experience. I cannot praise her ethics, hard work and dedication enough. She is one of the most nurturing and kind people that I have ever met.
I was about 250 before and am 137 now. It has really been a long journey. I started almost 10 years ago and it took about a year to take off around 90 lbs. I became pregnant about 3 years later (gained 70 lb) and only took off about 60. I was 165 when I became pregnant again and remained at around 185 for a while. With excessive workouts at the gym, and eating low calorie, I got down to about 170.
I was vegetarian at about 205 after Sophs was born in 2010. I tell you I STRUGGLED…even being vegan, to lose weight. This was a huge journey for me going from vegetarian to junk food vegan in 2008. When I went whole foods vegan, oil and sugar free, the rest of the weight fall off without much effort.
Both my parents have had gastric bypass surgery. I didn’t want to be in their shoes in 20 years.
